Graphics on the Mac version are choppy and slow (at least on my computer and I exceed the recommended requirements by a decent amount), and a lot of people will probably have to lower the games resolution to achieve better results. They were having these problems with the base game. Mac users are experiencing a lot of trouble with graphics even when their systems meet the recommended settings, but this is nothing new. So if you don't have at least 3GB of ram and a graphics card that is less than a year (maybe two) old, forget about playing on anything settings above low. This game, along with the base game, is GRAPHIC INTENSIVE. Loading times for the different "worlds" are fairly lengthy unless you're playing a super computer, and even then I've heard some people say that the loading times still drag. The only thing we can hope for now is that other players will create their own tombs we can download for our games so we'll have something new to explore. This makes game play very limited and you lose interest after a while. So if you send Sim A to Egypt and explore Tomb 1 and then send Sim B to Egypt after Sim A, Tomb 1 is already opened up and laid out before your eyes. The game itself is fun for a while, until you've played it a few times and you realize that tombs DO NOT RESET.

Instead of focusing on those issues, they're focusing on making a new Stuff Pack and another game update which allows you to purchase items from the store while playing the game. EA's patches were little to no help at all, and the game still has issues which EA has yet to address. Most people couldn't even play the game because it would crash, lots would disappear, and they couldn't save their previous games. Instead of focusing on fixing bugs in the base game, they opted to focus on a new expansion pack and make more money instead. In a perfect world, install all games in the order of release and do not patch updates until the end. It’s a real shame because WA is pretty cool. I keep WA installed for the extra items and such, but traveling kills my game on a regular basis. I moved my family to 3 new games before I gave up on traveling altogether. Every 5th time I travel my game creates a clone of my Sim or an NPC which makes it so my family can never travel again. In looking for a solution to my 2011 (bug) problem I found a thread on the official Sims 3 forum from 2009 that had not been addressed! So, buyer beware: if your game glitches out you will get no support from EA.
